Local-only processing

Every tool on this site — mouse polling rate, click and double-click test, scroll test, sensor drift test, and reaction time test — runs 100% locally in your browser tab. The measurement code reads browser pointer events in memory and discards raw event coordinates immediately. No mouse coordinates, button states, or hardware identifiers are ever transmitted over the network.

No input tracking or surveillance

We do not record your input activity, cursor movement paths, or browsing habits. The on-screen canvas trail and counter updates exist only in volatile browser memory while the page is open and are immediately cleared when you reset the test or navigate away.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, they record aggregate page views and test-start counts only. No input values, no timings, no coordinates, and no device fingerprints are collected. The event payload contains only a static page path and a simple test-started counter.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies in its launch version. No third-party tracking cookies exist on this domain.

LocalStorage is used solely on your local device to store UI preferences (theme mode under `theme` and language preference under `preferred_locale`) and summary metrics of your last 10 benchmark runs under the key `mk-run-history`. These summaries contain only numbers (median, mean, min, max, variation, class, duration, and timestamp), never raw coordinates. All storage calls are safely wrapped in try/catch blocks so private browsing modes are fully supported.

DevTools verification

To verify our privacy claims: open browser Developer Tools (F12), select the Network tab, check "Preserve log," run any mouse test, and filter by "Fetch/XHR." You will observe zero network requests containing mouse data or event streams.

No third-party trackers

This website does not load third-party analytics scripts, social media tracking pixels, or canvas fingerprinting libraries. All CSS stylesheets, scripts, and typography assets are served directly from this site's origin domain.

Data retention

Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data to retain. Aggregate anonymous metrics (such as daily page visits) are maintained under standard server retention policies. We do not store raw IP addresses or client session histories.
